Council Chamber, City Hall The meeting was called to order with Mayor Akin presiding. Roll call: Present: Absent: Councilmen Janes, LaRue, Long, Nichols, Mayor Akin None MAYOR AKIN announced this meeting was called for the purpose of passing the ordinance adopting the Budget for the Fiscal Year, 1967-1968 and the ordinance levying the ad valorem taxes for 1967. Mayor Akin brought up the following ordinance for its third reading: ORDINANCE NO. 670925-A AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND APPROVING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1967, AND TERMINATING SEPTEMBER 30, 1968, AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR EACH DEPARTMENT, PROJECT AND ACCOUNT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. The ordinance was read the third time and Councilman LaRue moved that the ordinance be finally passed. The motion, seconded by Councilman Janes, carried by the following vote: Ayes: Mayor Akin, Councilmen Janes, LaRue Noes: Councilmen Long, Nichols The Mayor announced that the ordinance had been finally passed.
