MINUTES PERTAINING TO PASSAGE AND ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULT OF A CITY BOND ELECTION THE STATE OF TEXAS | I COUNTY OF TRAVIS I I CITY OF AUSTIN \ ON THIS, the llth day of September , 1972, the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas, convened in special session at the regular meeting place thereof in the City Hall, the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting, giving the date, place and subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Article 6252-17, Section 3A, V.A.T.C.S., with the following members present and in attendance, to wit: ROY BUTLER MAYOR DAN LOVE MAYOR PRO TEM DICK NICHOLS ) LOWELL H. LEBERMANN ) COUNCILMEN JEFFREY M. FRIEDMAN ) and with the following absent: COUNCILMEN PR, S. H. "BUD" DRYDEN and BERL L. HANDCOX , constituting a quorum; at which time the following among other business was transacted: The Mayor introduced a resolution canvassing returns and declaring result of an election held in the City of Austin on the 9th day of September, 1972, the caption of said resolution being as follows: "A RESOLUTION by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas, canvassing returns and declaring the result of a bond election held in the said City on the 9th day of September, 1972, and declaring an emergency." The resolution was read in full. Thereupon, Councilman Love moved its adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman _Leb_e_rmann_ The motion carrying with it the adoption of the resolution prevailed by the following vote: AYES: Mayor Butler and Councilman Love, Nichols, Lebermann, and Friedman.
