- CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS Special Meeting May 23, 1974 12:00 Noon Electric Building Conference Room 301 West Avenue 536 The meeting was called to order with Mayor Butler presiding. Roll Call: Present: Absent: Councilmen Binder, Friedman, Handcox, Lebermann, Mayor Butler Councilman Dryden, Mayor Pro Tem Love Councilman Dryden entered the Executive Session later. Mayor Butler announced that this was a Special Called Meeting of the City Council for the purpose of publicly announcing that during the Meeting it will convene in a Closed or Executive Session authorized by Section 2, Paragraphs (f) and (g) of Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and after such closed or executive session any final action, decision or vote with regard to any matter considered in the closed or executive session would be made in open session, should such action, decision or vote be necessary. Mayor Butler announced that the Council would go into executive session at this time to consider the items authorized in Section 2, Paragraphs (f) and (g) of Article 6252-17.
