Council Chambers 301 West Second Street The meeting was called to order with Mayor Friedman presiding. Roll Call: Present; Mayor Friedman, Mayor Pro Tern Snell, Councilmembers Himmelblau, Hofmann Absent: Councilmembers Lebermann, Linn, Trevino CANVASS OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL RUN-OFF ELECTION The Council had before it the canvassing of the results of the General Municipal Run-Off Election held April 30, 1977. The following precincts were reviewed: Mayor Friedman Precinct 337 - Okay Mayor Pro Tern Snell Precinct 147 - Okay CounciImemb ereHofmann Precinct 328 - Okay Councilmember Himmelblau Precinct 243 - It was noted that there was a discrepancy of one ballot. Mayor Pro Tern Snell moved that the Council adopt a resolution verifying the results of the General Municipal Run-Off Election held April 30, 1977: Mayor Carole Keeton McClellan 32,418 Jack McCreary 31,334 =CITY OF AUSTIN. TEXAf Mav 2. 1977 City Councilman Place #1 Margret Hofmann Lee Cooke City Councilman Place #3 Ron Mullen Emma Lou Linn City Councilman Place #4 Richard Goodman Robb Southerland 25,518 37,543 39,599 24,349 34,444 29,353 The motion, seconded by Councilmember Himmelblau, carried by the following vote: Ayes: Mayor Friedman, Mayor Pro Tern Snell, Councilmembers Himmelblau, Hofmann Noes: None Absent; Councilmembers Lebermann, Linn, Trevino Carole Keeton McClellan was declared the winner in the Mayor's race and Lee Cooke, Ron Mullen and Richard Goodman were declared winners in Places 1, 3 and 4, respectively.
