Davidson City Manager Grace Monroe City Clerk Austin City Council Minutes For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING MARCH 12, 1980 FIRST FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM MUNICIPAL BUILDING Council Chambers, 301 West Second Street, Memorandum To: Mayor McClellan called to order the Special Called Meeting of the Council scheduled for 10:30 A.M., noting the absence of Councilmembers Cooke, Goodman and Trevino. ANNEXATION ORDINANCE Mayor McClellan announced the purpose of this Special Called Meeting is in the nature of an emergency because of the legal time period involved in passage of annexations. Council is to consider passage of an ordinance annexing 316.4 acres of land (221.10 acres requested by owner and known as Great Hills IX, X, VIII-A and Great Hills Street Dedication "C" and 95.04 acres initiated by the City) C7a-79-024. Mr. Davidson, City Manager stated there is not an updated fiscal note but Council received all necessary information at its last Meeting. Councilmember Himmelblau said she would rather not vote until she receives a fiscal note. Mr. Davidson said the fiscal note can be sent with the Agenda material on Friday and Mayor McClellan told her she could change her vote next week. Councilmember Himmelblau asked for the second reading to be on the March 27, 1980 agenda. Motion The Council, on Mayor Pro Tern Mullen's motion, Mayor McClellan's second, passed through FIRST READING ONLY an ordinance annexing the following: (4-0 Vote, Councilmembers Cooke, Goodman and Trevino absent) 316.14 acres of land (221.10 acres requested by owner and known as Great Hills IX,X,VIH-A and Great Hills Street Dedication "C" and 95.04 acres initiated by the city) (C7a-79-024) ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
