=CITY OF AUSTIN. TEXAS MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS Special Called Council Meeting July 08, 1980 3:00 P.M. Council Chambers 301 West Second Street The meeting was called to order with Mayor McClellan presiding. Roll Call: Present: Mayor McClellan, Councilmembers Cooke, Goodman, Himmelblau, Mullen, Trevino, Snell Absent: None Mayor McClellan announced this was a Special Emergency Meeting of the City Council to (1) Publicly announce that it will convene in Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Sections 2 (e), (f) and (g); (2) Consider an appointment to the Board of Equalization; (3) Consider setting dates for financial work sessions; and (4) Consider re-setting August 2, 1980 Council Budget work sessions. DATES SET FOR CIP AND OPERATING BUDGET Mayor McClellan announced Council should set and re-set some dates of the Work Sessions and Council Meetings which will be held concerning CIP and Budget. She referred to the schedule of meetings as adopted at the July 3, 1980 Council Meeting. Council discussed the dates and the following schedule was set by unanimous consent: =CITY OF AUSTIN. TEXAS=*lU 1 .V 9 EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor McClellan announced that Council will convene in a closed or executive session authorized by Section 2, Paragraphs (e), (f) and (g) of Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes annotated; and after such closed or executive session, any final action, decision or vote with regard to any matter considered in the closed or executive session will be made in open session, should such action, decision or vote be necessary. RECESS Council recessed its Special Called Meeting at 4:10 p.m. and resumed its recessed meeting at 4:14 p.m. BOARD OF EQUALIZATION APPOINTMENT Councilmember Himmelblau moved that the Council approve the appointment of James W. Thompson to the Board of Equalization; term to expire May 31, 1981.
