Councilmember Cooke Councilmember Himmelblau Precinct 143 - Okay Precinct 124 discrepancy of one vote Judge Barho said the print out and the poll list both show 342. Councilmember Cooke Precinct 144 - Okay Councilmember Himmelblau suggested that in future elections Precinct 124 should do their tabulation better. Councilmember Mullen Precinct 243 - Okay CITY OF AUSTIN, TIXAR May 4. 1981 Motion Councilmember Cooke moved that the Council adopt a resolution verifying the results of the Runoff Municipal Election held on May 2, 1981. The motion, seconded by Councilmember Goodman, carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmember Mullen, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino, Mayor McClellan, Councilmember Cooke, Goodman, Himmelblau Noes: None MAYOR Carole Keeton McClellan 36,451 Bob Binder 30,808 COUNCIL PLACE NO. 1 Larry Deuser 40,362 Bob Duke 26,167 COUNCIL PLACE NO. 6 Charles Urdy Bertha Means 41,358 24,952 and the following named persons are hereby declared duly elected and authorized to qualify for the positions as indicated for a two-year term commencing May 15, 1981: MAYOR Carole Keeton McClellan Councilman Place 1 Larry Deuser : Councilmember Place 6 Charles Urdy Mayor McClellan thanked the staff for their help in making the election run smoothly.
