CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS. MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS Special Emergency Council Meeting May 25, 1981 9:30 Α.Μ. First Floor Conference Room 124 West Eighth Street The meeting was called to order with Mayor McClellan presiding. Roll Call: Present: Mayor McClellan, Councilmembers Cooke, Goodman, Himmelblau, Mullen, Urdy, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino Absent: None Mayor McClellan said she will send a letter to the Governor of Texas today asking him to declare Austin a disaster area because of the Memorial Day flooding. Mayor McClellan next discussed the RFP designed to recruit an executive firm to conduct the search for a City Manager for Austin. She said Solon Bennett, Director of Purchases and Stores, is attending the meeting in order to answer any questions concerning the RFP.
