CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS Special Called Council Meeting June 30, 1981 3:45 Ρ.Μ. Council Chambers 301 West Second Street Roll Call: The meeting was called to order with Mayor McClellan presiding. Present: Mayor McClellan, Councilmembers Deuser, Duncan, Goodman, Mullen, Urdy J Absent: Mayor Pro Tem Trevino Mayor McClellan announced the purpose of the meeting is to consider authorizing the extension of the 5th Year CDBG Contract with the East Austin Chicano Economic Development Corporation. Motion Councilmember Duncan moved that the Council adopt a resolution approving extension of the 5th Year CDBG Contract with the East Austin Chicano Economic Development Corporation, extending the contract to September 30, 1981. ... CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS June 30, 1981 Mayor McClellan asked if the City's liability would be extended by extending the time and $20,000? Mr. Herrera, Director of Human Services said the ability could then go to $252,660 Mayor McClellan said she has been great supporter of EACEDC but she is unable to get a positive feeling from HUD regarding their eligibility. Discussion followed by members of the Council concerning their feelings as to whether EACEDC would or would not be funded. Roll Call on Motion Poll Call on motion showed the following vote: Ayes: Councilmembers Deuser, Duncan, Goodman, Urdy Noes: Mayor McClellan, Councilmember Mullen Mayor McClellan commented at the time of roll call that if and when Council is informed of EACEDC's eligibliity, then she can support extension of funds.
