City Council Carole Keeton McClellan Mayor John Treviño, Jr. Mayor Pro Tem Council Members Larry Deuser Roger Duncan Richard Goodman Ron Mullen Charles E. Urdy Nicholas M. Meiszer City Manager Grace Monroe City Clerk Mayor McClellan called the Meeting of the Council to order at 4:30 P.M., noting that Mayor Pro Tem Trevino was absent due to illness. She announced that Council would convene in a closed or executive session authorized by Section 2, Paragraphs (e), (f) and (g) of Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes annotated; and after such closed or executive session, any final action, decision or vote with regard to any matter considered in the closed or executive session would be made in open session, should such action, decision or vote be necessary. RECESS Council recessed its Council Meeting at 4:31 P.M. to go into executive session. The Council resumed its meeting at 5:00 P.M. and made the following announcements regarding Board and Commission appointments: BUILDING STANDARDS COMMISSION The Council made the following appointments with all terms expiring June 1, 1984: Mayo Stewart - reappointed as social worker Robert Klug - reappointed as registered architect Rudy Montoya - reappointed as home builder Holly Bell Szilagyi - reappointed as interested citizen COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION The Council made the following appointment to expire March 1, 1983: Katy Null - appointed to represent the AFL-CIO COUNCIL MEMO (2) DENTAL HEALTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE i June 2, 1982 The Council made the following appointment to expire March 1, 1983: Howard Cale - appointed to as an interested citizen EMS QUALITY ASSURANCE TEAM : The Council made the following appointments with all terms expiring January 1, 1984: Dr. Glen Johnson - reappointed physician Dr. Roy Leamon - reappointed physician Dr. Robert Tate - reappointed physician Mary Campbell - reappointed registered nurse AUSTIN TOMORROW ON-GOING COMMITTEE The Council made the following appointments with all terms expiring June 1, 1984: Carl Siegenthaler - regular member, zone 3, reappointed Dan Green - alternate member, zone 3, reappointed Robert Mather regular member, zone 9, reappointed Linda Holderman - alternate member, zone 9, appointed HISTORIC LANDMARK COMMISSION The Council made the following appointments with all terms expiring June 1, 1984: Jim Christianson - reappointed as Travis County Bar representative B111 O'Connell - reappointed interested citizen Betty Phillips reappointed interested citizen Martha Hartzog - reappointed interested citizen Sharon Greenhill - reappointed interested citizen Mauro Reyna - appointed as interested citizen on an emergency basis MANPOWER ADVISORY PLANNING COUNCIL The Council made the following appointments with all terims expiring September 30, 1982: Felicia Wilson appointed as YETP representative Ina Monreal - appointed as YETP representative MH/MR PUBLIC RESPONSIBILITY COMMITTEE The Council made the following appointment to expire January 18, 1983: Gerald Stump appointed as an interested citizen i COUNCIL MEMO (3) PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD June 2, 1982 The Council made the following appointments with all terms expiring June 1, 1984: Conrad Fath - reappointed with navigational expertise William Nalle - reappointed with navigational expertise Joe Ramos - reappointed interested citizen Mary Arnold - reappointed interested citizen Barrett Garrison - reappointed interested citizen Ruth Isely - reappointed interested citizen COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN The Council made the following appointments with all terms expiring June 1, 1984: Hortensia Palomares - reappointed Dr. Sylvia Little - reappointed Heidi Wakefield reappointed Beverly Larkam - reappointed Renee DeLaune - reappointed VENDING COMMISSION The Council made the following appointments with all terms expiring June 1, 1984: Linda Robinson - reappointed Virginia Smith - reappointed After reading the above suggested uggested appointments, Mayor McClellan suggested that the Council roll all appointments into one motion. MOTION The Council, on Councilmember Urdy's motion and Mayor McClellan's second, voted to approve the Board and Commission appointments as read. (Vote: 6-0; Mayor Pro Tem Trevino absent from the meeting.) COUNCIL MEΜΟ (4) June 2, 1982 After the approval of the Board and Commission appointments, Mayor McClellan announced that one appointment to the Hospital Board would be made at the June 3, 1982 Council Meeting and that the following appointments would be made at the June 10, 1982 Council Meeting: Building Standards Commission - 1 Austin Cor Community Education Consortium - 1 to replace the Urban League Elisabet Ney Museum Board of Directors - 2 EMS Quality Assurance Team - 1 - 1 regular and 4 alternates - 1 Austin Tomorrow On-Going Committee Manpower Advisory Planning Council Commission on the Status of Women 2 - Urban Transportation Commission - 1 Vending Commission - 2 Wrecker Standards Commission 1 - Water and Wastewater Commission - 2 Downtown Revitalization Commission - 1 ADJOURN 6:07 Ρ.Μ. i !
