Urdy Nicholas M. Meiszer City Manager Grace Monroe City Clerk Memorandum To: Mayor McClellan called to order the Special Called Meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Urdy and Mullen. The Mayor announced the purpose of the meeting is to hold a public hearing on the annexation of approximately 231.29 acres of land in Travis County, Texas (that portion of Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park not yet within corporate limits of Austin. Mr. Leonard Ehrler, Director of Parks and Recreation, showed Council a map of plans for Walnut Creek District Park and discussed the development of Phase I with ball parks, swimming pool and a bridge for access to the park. Mr. Ehrler said the area will be served by a MUD sewer line which will be 90' under ground and will not go into the creek. No one appeared to speak. Motion The Council, on Councilmember Duncan's motion, Councilmember Goodman's second, closed the public hearing. (5-0 Vote) Mayor McClellan announced that the second public hearing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. December 9, 1982 in the Council Chamber. ADJOURNMENT Council adjourned its meeting at 3:32 p.m.
