SPECIÁL CALLED MEETING Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: Mayor Pro Tem Trevino called to order the Special Called Meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Goodman. The Mayor Pro Tem announced the purpose of the meeting is to consider service delivery area designation pursuant to Job Training Partnership Act and to consider approval of, and, authorize the City Manager, or his designee to submit the priority needs funding allocations and planned activities for the 9th year Community Development Block Grant Program as adopted by the City Council to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and authorize the close out of program years 3 through 5 by rolling forward to the 9th year program balances in the commercial corridors, Robertson Hill, and Guadalupe projects. Job Training Partnership Act The Council, on Councilmember Duncan's motion and Councilmember Urdy's second, adopted a resolution petitioning the Governor of the State of Texas for service area designation under the Job Training Partnership Act of 1982. (5-0 vote, Councilmember Goodman was absent) Executive Session Mayor Pro Tem Trevino announced that Council will convene in a closed or executive session authorized by Section 2, Paragraph (g) of Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes, concerning Boards and Commission reports, and Stassney Lane/IH-35 overpass, Paragraph (f), and after such closed or executive session, any final action, decision or vote with regard to any matter considered in the closed or executive session will be make in open session, should such action, decision, or vote be necessary. Recess Council recessec its meeting for the executive session at 4:30 P.M., and resumed its recessed meeting at 5:00P.M. No action was taken. Council Memo -2- May 9, 1983 9th year CDBG Mayor Pro Tem Trevino said that the Council would not be talking about specific organizations, but only types of funding. Carlos Herrera appeared before the Council to give staff presentation. Ms. Clotilde Davis went over the Community Development Block Grant Program recommendations. The Council discussed the recommendations thoroughly. Motion The Council on Councilmember Mullen's motion and Mayor Pro Tem Trevino's second, adopted a resolution concerning the Community Development Block Grant Program activities and funding levels as follows: (5-0 vote, Councilmember Goodman was absent) ACTIVITIES 1983-84 Community Development Block Grant Program Activities and Funding Levels as Approved by City Council on May 9, 1983 Housing: 1.
