Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: Councilmember Duncan called to order the special meeting of the Council at 4:12 P.M., at the intersection of F.M. 1325 and Oak Creek Drive, Travis County, Texas, for the purpose of a public hearing on the annexation of approximately 1,539.76 acres of land. He noted the absence of Mayor Mullen, Mayor Pro Tem Trevinn and Councilmember Rose. Brian Shuller spoke for staff and said, "This is the 1st of three corridor annexations." He pointed out to Council on a map where the property is. The City will provide fire, police garbage pick-up within the mandatory 60 day period. Tom McCurry wanted to know what the time frame is on the services. Brian Shuller said that C.I.P. will start within two and one i half years. John German, Assistant City Manager, stated that there is a plan for providing water and sewer services along this corridor. within a three year period. Councilmember Duncan said there is no commitment to areas s outside of the service area. He suggested that McCurry discuss other options with the City. McCurry said, "I got a very negative attitude from the Planning Commission." Councilmember Duncan stated to McCurry that he always had the option to come before the Council on Citizens Commumications. McCurry also said, "It's not right what they're doing to my land." : 1 1. Council Memo L -2- August 2, 1983 Councilmember Duncan suggested that McCurry meet with John German and try to work something out. If not, he should come back before the Council. Bill Simpson wanted to know if that covered the Parmer Lane Heights Subdivision. Councilmember Duncan stated that it did not cover the Parmer Lane Heights Subdivision. Motion The Council, on Councilmember Urdy's Motion and Councilmember Spaeth's second, closed the public hearing and set another public hearing for Thursday, August 4th at 4:00p.m. (4-0 vote, Mayor Mullen, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino, and Councilmember Rose were absent) : AD JOURNMENT The Council adjourned its meeting at 4:21 P.M.
