Spaeth Charles E. Urdy Jorge Carrasco City Manager Elden Aldridge City Clerk Mayor Mullen called to order the meeting of the Council scheduled for 5:00P.M. for the purpose of a public hearing on the annexation of the following: a. 15.03 acres of land out of the Robert Foster Survey No. 43 and the M.D. Williams Survey No. 49 in Travis County, Texas. (Full purpose annexation) C7a-81-012 b. 4.22 acres of land out of the Robert Foster Survey No. 43 in Travis County, Texas. (Limited purpose c. annexation) C7a-81-012 100.08 acres of land out of the John Applegate Survey No. 58 in Travis County, Texas. (Full purpose annexation) C7a-82-010 Mayor Mullen also noted the absence of Mayor Pro Tem Trevino and Councilmember Spaeth. Bryan Schuller, City Planning Department, presented a history of the proposed annexation area and discussed City services. The annexation was requested by the property owner and when completed would complete the annexation of all property fronting on Loop 360 for the entire length of the roadway. The area would have positive fiscal impact in five years. The Planning Commission recommended these annexations by a 9-0 vote. Councilmember Shipman asked if there was existing wastewater service available or if was going to require additional construction.. Schuller said that the services are available from the existing infrastructure in the ground. Bill Faust, applicant, requested the annexation under the new zoning ordinance. The annexation could be under land use as opposed to "AA". Faust said he has "DL" second height & area contiguous to it. Faust requested that the property be annexed at DL second. (5-0 vote, Councilmember Spaeth and Mayor Pro Tem Trevino were absent.) Executive Sesston Mayor Mullen snnounced Council would enter into a closed or executive sesston authorized by Section 2, paragraph f of Article 2652-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes annotated to duscuss the State of Texas v. The City of Austin pending litigation, Section 2, paragraph e. If any Council action is required pursuant to the matters discussed in executive sesston the Council will come back and take appropriate action. ADJOURNMENT The Council adjourned its meeting at 6:00 P.M.
