Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING 5:00 P.M. Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas - December 12, 1984 City Council Ron Mullen Mayor John Trevino, Jr. Mayor Pro Tern Council Members Mark Rose Roger Duncan Sally Shipman Mark E. Spaeth Charles E. Urdy Jorge Carrasco City Manager Elden Aldridge City Clerk Memorandum To: Mayor Mullen called to order che Special Called Meeting of the Council, scheduled for 5:00 p.m., noting the presence of all Councilmembers. The Mayor noted the purpose of the meeting was for a public hearing on single member districts. The following people spoke at the hearing: Larry McGinnis, David Van Os, James Pinedo, Bob Timmick, Harry Nolen, Stacy Suits, Jerry Hill, Mike Guerrero and Belinda Guerrero. Their concerns were the boundaries, how they might affect the balance of ethnic groups, neighborhoods and City elections. ADJOURNMENT Council adjourned its meeting at 6:00 p.m.
