Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: - AUGUST 13, 1985 Mayor Cooksey called to order the Special Called Meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Rose, who entered the Council Chamber later in the meeting. WATER CONSERVATION ORDINANCE The Council, on Councilmember. Shipman's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, waived the requirement for three readings and finally passed an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 850207-B, the Water Conservation Ordinance. (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Rose absent) GRANT APPLICATION The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Trevino's motion, Councilmember Urdy's second, adopted a resolution authorizing submission on August 15, 1985 to HUD of the Urban Development Action Grant application for the Sixth Street Mercado Project, for $800,000 in federal funds, and allocation from CDBG reprogrammable funds of $200,000 for required City match. (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Rose abstained.) AIDC BOARD ACTION APPROVED The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Trevino's motion, Councilmember Urdy's second, adopted a resolution approving the Austin Industrial Development Corporation's Board action; approving Industrial Revenue Bond financing for the East 6th Street Mercado Venture, a commercial office/ retail center. (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Rose abstained) Council Memo EXECUTIVE SESSION 2 8/13/85 Mayor Cooksey announced Council will go into Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss the following matters; and action, if any, on the matters will be taken during the public meeting after conclusion of the Executive Session: a. b.
