Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: Mayor Cooksey called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Mayor Pro Tem Trevino, Councilmembers Rose and Urdy. ELECTRIC UTILITY FUEL RATES The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Councilmember Shipman's second, adopted a resolution relating to electric utility fuel rates to adopt and incorporate into the next electric rate ordinance of the City of Austin the substance of the recommendation on fuel charges passed by the Electric Utility Commission as follows: (4-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino, Councilmembers Rose and Urdy absent.) Electric Utility Commission recommends that the City Council adopt the Electric Utility Department's proposed fuel charge change effective November 1, 1986, and also recommends that in addition, the City Council approve returning to the monthly fuel adjustment system that was previously in effect, Furthermore, the Electric Utility Commission recommends that this fuel charge ordinance be separate from the ordinance concerning cost per kilowatt hour base rates. WORK SESSION The remainder of the meeting was devoted to a work session on Operation Budget with reports from social services, and recreational services. ADJOURNMENT - Council adjourned its meeting at 6:23 p.m.
