Mayor Cooksey called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the presence of all Councilmembers. The Mayor announced Council would go into Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation, and for personnel matters. action, decision or vote by the City Council will be taken on any subject or matter unless specifically listed on the agenda for this meeting. 1. Land Acquisition - { Section 2, Paragraph f No final (a) Proposal for acquisition of real estate (b) Consider lease/purchase negotiations on the lease consolidation project RECESS Council recessed its meeting at 3:35 p.m. and resumed its recessed meeting at 5:15 p.m. CITY MANAGER REPORT Sherri Allred, Director of Human Resources, presented the City Manager report on Discussion of Personnel Issues. BOARD AND COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS Council made several motions to appoint members of boards and commissions. Motion The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Trevino's motion, Councilmember Rose's second, nominated Juan Duran as a member of the Ethics Commission. (Appointment to be confirmed at a later meeting) (7-0 Vote) Council Memo 2 Motion 2/10/87 The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino's second, appointed Glenna Balch, Laraine Benedikt, Natalie deBlois and Dorothy Richter as members of the Board of Adjustment. (7-0 Vote) Motion The Council, on Councilmember Shipman's motion, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino's second, appointed Adela Gonzalez as a member of the Austin Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
