FOUR SEASONS HOTEL Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: Mayor Cooksey called to order at 1:55 p.m. the special called meeting of the Council which had been rescheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., noting the absence of Mayor Pro Tem Trevino, who was absent from the City. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooksey announced that Council would go into Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss the following matter. No official action will be taken. except in open session. RECESS 1. Pending Litigation - Section 2, Paragraph e (a) City of Austin v. Houston Lighting & Power The Council went into executive session at 1:56 p.m. At 3:49 p.m. the Council came out of executive session and recessed the meeting at 3:50 p.m. RECONVENE The Council reconvened the meeting at 4:44 р.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooksey announced that Council would go into executive session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes, Annotated, to discuss the following matter. Houston Lighting & Power The Council went into executive session at 4:45 p.m. RECESS 3/9/87 At 5:20 p.m. the Council came out of executive session and recessed the meeting until 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 1987. RESUMPTION OF RECESSED MEETING On Tuesday, March 10, 1987, at 8:25 a.m., Mayor Cooksey called to order the meeting which had been recessed at 5:20 p.m., March 9, 1987, noting the presence of Councilmembers Rose, Humphrey and Carl-Mitchell. Councilmember Shipman joined the meeting later in the morning. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooksey announced that the City Council would go into executive session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes, Annotated, to discuss the following matter. No action will be taken except in open session. 1. Pending Litigation - Section 2, Paragraph e (a) City of Austin v. Houston Lighting & Power The Council went into executive session at 8:26 a.m. RECESS Council recessed its meeting when they came out of executive session at 9:51 a.m. RECONVENE The Council reconvened the meeting at 10:30 a.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooksey announced that Council would go into executive session, pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes, Annotated, to discuss the following matter. RECESS At 10:15 p.m. the Council came out of executive session and recessed the meeting at 10:16 p.m. RECONVENE The Council reconvened its meeting at 10:55 p.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooksey announced the Council would go into executive session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes, Annotated, to discuss the following matter. No action will be taken except in open session. 1. Pending Litigation - Section 2, Paragraph e (a) City of Austin v. Houston Lighting & Power The Council went into executive session at 11:00 p.m. At 11:55 p.m. Mayor Cooksey announced that the Council would recess its meeting until 10:00 a.m., March 11, 1987. RESUMPTION OF RECESSED MEETING On Wednesday, March 11, 1987, at 10:34 A.m., Mayor Cooksey called to order the meeting which had been recessed at 11:55 p.m., March 10, 1987, noting the presence of Councilmember Shipman, Rose, Humphrey and Carl-Mitchell. Council Memo EXECUTIVE SESSION 5 3/9/87 Mayor Cooksey announced that Council would go into executive session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss the following matter. Houston Lighting & Power The Council went into executive session at 10:35 a.m. RECESS At 11:50 am. the Council came out of executive session and recessed the meeting at 11:51 a.m. RECONVENE The Council reconvened its meeting at 12:20 p.m. Mayor Cooksey announced that the City Council would be meeting again with Houston Lighting and Power officials at the same location at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 22, 1987 and at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 1987. ADJOURNMENT The Council adjourned its meeting at 12:21 p.m.
