Mayor Cooksey called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Shipman. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooksey announced Council would go into executive session, pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation and for personnel matters. No final action, decision or vote by the City Council will be taken on any subject or matter unless specifically listed on the agenda for this meeting. RECESS Land Acquisition - Section 2, Paragraph f (a) Avante Building Council recessed for executive session from 3:25 to 3:50 p.m. and resumed its recessed meeting at 3:50 p.m. AVANTE BUILDING Motion The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Trevino's motion, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's second, adopted a resolution approving the purchase agreement and master lease to finalize negotiations for purchase of the Avante Building. (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Shipman absent) } 1 i : : 1 Council Memo BUDGET UPDATE 2 5/5/87 The Council heard a report on the Budget Update from Gary Hunt, Assistant City Manager. AUSTIN MAYOR'S COMMITTEE FOR DISABLED PERSONS The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Trevino's motion, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's second, approved the following appointments to the Austin Mayor's Committee for Disabled Persons: (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Shipman absent) Martha Arbuckle Rick Baudoin Steven Currier Lois Hunt H.
