FOUNDED 1830 Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING June 08, 1987 - 2:00 Ρ.Μ. Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: Mayor Cooksey called to order the meeting of the Council, noting the presence of all Councilmembers. The Mayor announced the purpose of the meeting was to go into executive session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation, and for personnel matters. No final action, decision or vote by the City Council will be taken on any subject or matter unless specifically listed on the agenda for this meeting. 1. Personnel Matters (a) - Section 2, Paragraph g Evaluation of the City Manager Council recessed its meeting for executive session at 2:25 p.m. and resumed its recessed meeting at 7:50 p.m. Motion - DIED FOR LACK OF SECOND Councilmember Nofziger made a motion to remove the City Manager, Jorge Carrasco. MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. Motion The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Trevino's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, voted to retain Jorge Carrasco as City Manager. (6-1 Vote, with Councilmember Nofziger voting No.) Council adjourned its meeting at 7:51 p.m.
