Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: Mayor Cooksey called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Carl-Mitchell. APPOINTMENTS The following board and commission appointments were made by Council: Planning Commission The Council, on Councilmember Nofziger's motion, Councilmember Shipman's second, approved Dr. Gail Gemberling as a member of the Planning Commission. (4-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino and Councilmember Urdy out of the room. Councilmember Carl-Mitchell absent) Airport Advisory Board The Council, on Councilmember Shipman's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, made the following appointments to the Airport Advisory Board: (4-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino and Councilmember Urdy out of the room. Councilmember Carl-Mitchell absent) Ginny Ballard, Dave Helfert, Hugh Higgins, Dr. Jeremiah Jarvis, Dr. Glen Johnson, Girard Kinney, Ken Medders, Kathy Patman, Juan Portillo, Kurt Sauer and Kenneth Shaw Child Care Commission The Council, on Mayor Cooksey's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, appointed the following as members of the Child Care Commission: (4-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino and Councilmember Urdy out of the room, Councilmember CarlMitchell absent) Council Memo 2 Child Care Commission - CONTINUED 6/9/87 : Celia Bell, Ann Coates, Isabela Cunningham, Viola Garza and Joene Grissom CITY MANAGER REPORTS Tracy Watson, Office of Land Development Services, presented a City Manager report on Planned Unit Development Ordinance. The report on Parks and Recreation Department Cost of Service Study was not given. WORKSESSION Council held their worksession as a joint meeting with the Economic Development Commission. NO ACTION TAKEN ON ITEM No action was taken on consideration of the West Lake Hills Truck Routes options. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooksey announced Council would enter into executive session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation, and for personnel matters. No final action, decision or vote by the City Council will be taken on any subject or matter unless specifically listed on the agenda for this meeting. 1. Pending Litigation - Section 2, Paragraph e (b) City of Austin v. Houston Lighting and Power also discussed was West Lake Hills Truck Routes Options RECESS AND ADJOURNMENT Council recessed its meeting at 4:55 p.m. for executive session and adjourned its meeting at 5:48 p.m.
