YOLAUST Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING October 06, 1987 3:00 Ρ.Μ. Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: Mayor Cooksey called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmembers Carl-Mitchell and Urdy and Mayor Pro Tem Trevino. CITY MANAGER REPORTS City Manager reported on the Employee Placement Update. Jim Thompson, Dirctor of Electric Utility presented the Biweekly Wastewater Report. SOUTHERN UNTION GAS COMPANY CONSERVATION PROGRAM Motion The Council, on Councilmember Nofziger's motion, Mayor Cooksey's second, rejected the rate filing by Southern Union Gas Company submitted September 10, 1987. (4-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino, Councilmembers Carl-Mitchell and Urdy absent) Motion The Council, on Councilmember Shipman's motion, Councilmember Nofziger's second, directed Don Butler and the rate consultants and the City staff to intervene at the Railroad Commission in the environs case now pending. (4-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino, Councilmembers Carl-Mitchell and Urdy absent) ADJOURNMENT Council adjourned its meeting at 5:00 p.m.
