AUSTIA FOUNDID 1849 Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - October 13, 1987 CENTRAL LIBRARY, FOURTH FLOOR AUDITORIUM Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: - 3:00 Ρ.Μ. Mayor Cooksey called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmembers Urdy and Trevino. CITY MANAGER REPORTS The report on Cultural Facilities Policy was postponed. City Manager Carrasco presented the Employee Place- ment Update report. Jesus Garza, Asst. City Manager, & other staff members reported on Waste to Energy Project. Motion The Council, on Councilmember Nofziger's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, set a public hearing on November 5, 1987 at 5:00p.m. on the Pyrolisis Plant. (5-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino and Councilmember Urdy absent.) NO ACTION TAKEN No action was taken on the ordinances on the agenda, nor did the Council enter into executive session. BOARD & COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion and Councilmember Humphrey's second, appointed Clay Blakeway and Karen Campbell to Travis County Appraisal District Board of Directors. (5-0 Vote) Council, on Councilmember Shipman's motion, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's second, appointed Randy Peschel to the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee.
