FOUNDED 1839 Austin City Council MINUTES For - SPECIAL CALLED MEETING FOURTH FLOOR CENTRAL LIBRARY Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: JANUARY 5, 1988 - 3:00 Ρ.Μ. Mayor Pro Tem Trevino called to order the meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Mayor Cooksey and Councilmember Humphrey. CABLEVISION SETTLEMENT FUNDS The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Councilmember Shipman's second, adopted a resolution utilizing cablevision settlement funds, and approved guidelines for distribution of cablevision settlement funds. (4-0 Vote, Mayor Cooksey, Councilmember Humphrey absent, Councilmember Urdy out of the room) ITEMS POSTPONED Postponed until January 7, 1988 is consideration of executing agreement and estoppel certificate consenting to transfer of Brackenridge Professional Building ground lease. The City Manager report on Jail Consolidation was postponed as was the worksession discussion of City Manager Search.. CITY MANAGER REPORT Council heard a report on Comprehensive Assessment of the Electric Utility. WORKSESSION A worksession was held on Gilbane Building Update. ITEMS NOT CONSIDERED Council did not have an executive session, nor did they make any board or commission appointments. ADJOURNMENT Council adjourned its meeting at 7:10 p.m.
