FOUNDID JAAR Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - March 22, 1988 Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: - 3:00 Ρ.Μ. Mayor Cooksey called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Shipman and Mayor Pro Tem Trevino. WORKSESSION - CIVIC CENTER Walt Marquardt presented the Gilbane Update of the Civic Center in Council worksession. He said a short list of candidate sites would be presented at the March 29, 1988 Council meeting. WORKSESSION - LEASE SPACE Ann Bradstreet, Alexander and Associates, reported on Lease Space Update. She said if present leases are renewed the savings for one year would be $90,000 a month. BUILDING SAFETY DEPARTMENT BUSINESS PLAN A City Manager Report on Building Safety Department Business Plan was presented by Mike Heitz. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooksey announced Council would go into executive session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation, and for personnel matters. No final action, decision or vote by the City Council will be taken on any subject or matter unless specifically listed on the agenda for this meeting. - 1. Pending Litigation Section 2, Paragraph e (a) Houston Lighting and Power v. City of Austin RECESS AND ADJOURNMENT Council recessed its meeting for executive session and adjourned the special called meeting at 5:15 p.m.
