Austin City Council MINUTES For - March 29, 1988 3:00 Ρ.Μ. SPECIAL CALLED MEETING FOURTH FLOOR AUDITORIUM CENTRAL LIBRARY Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Memorandum To: Mayor Cooksey called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the presence of all Councilmembers. WORKSESSION Council held a worksession on Gilbane Update of the Civic Center Project. Motion The Council, on Councilmember Humphrey's motion, Councilmember Shipman's second, approved the short list of candidate sites for the Austin Civic Center Project. (5-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino and Councilmember Urdy out of the room) Motion F The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, approved a contract for Bechtol Associates as real estate consultant for the Austin Civic Center Project. (5-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino and Councilmember Urdy out of the room.) Motion The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, approved a document to be utilized by the real estate consultant in obtaining options from landowners within the candidate sites for the Austin Civic Center. (5-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Trevino, Councilmember out of the room) CITY MANAGER REPORTS The report on Department of Environmental Protection Business Plan was presented to Council by Austan Librach. ADJOURNMENT - Council adjourned at 5:30p.m. No other items were considered.
