: FOUNDED 1820 Austin City Council : MINUTES 1 For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - 1:00 P.M.- June 28, 1988 FOURTH FLOOR AUDITORIUM- CENTRAL LIBRARY Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Mayor Cooke called to order the meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Mayor Pro Tem Shipman, and and Councilmembers Nofziger and Carl-Mitchell. EXECUTIVE SESSION : Mayor Cooke announced Council would go into executive session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation and for personnel matters. No final action, decision or vote by the City Council will be taken on any subject or matter unless specifically listed on the agenda for this meeting. - 1. Pending Litigation Section 2, Paragraph e (a) City of Austin/LCRA v. Decker Coal Company et al ETSI Pipeline Project, et al. v. Burlington Northern, Inc., et al, C.A. No. B-84-979-CA (b) (c) Burlington Northern Railroad Company and Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad Company v. Lower Colorado River Authority and the City of Austin, C.A. No. 4-87-504-K. (d) City of Austin v. Houston Lighting and Power (e) Two Forty-Four (244) v. City of Austin Mayor Cooke did not announce Council would discuss personnel matters as listed on the agenda, a. City Manager Search b. Appointment of Relief Judges c. Municipal Court Clerk. Council Memo RECESS 2 6/28/88 Council recessed its meeting from 2:15 to 5:20 P.M. for executive session. No action taken as a result of the session. GILBANE UPDATE WORKSESSION - Council held a worksession on Gilbane Update. Walt Marquardt, representing Gilbane, gave a presentation. ITEMS POSTPONED Postponed to the June 30, 1988 Council meeting were an ordinance to consider cancelling all City Council meetings for the week of July 4-8, 1988; and a worksession on City debt and related issues. Postponed indefinitely is the Public Events Business Plan. There were no board or commission appointments made. ADJOURNMENT Council adjourned its meeting at 6:10 P.M.
