Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING August 29, 1988 - 4:00 p.m. Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Mayor Cooke called the meeting to order/ noting the presence of Mayor Pro Tern Shipman and Councilmembers Barnstone/ Humphrey and Nofziger. The Mayor stated that the purpose of the meeting was to hold a public hearing regarding the 6-Year Capital Improvements Plan, Mary Arnold/ Chairperson/ Planning Commission/ presented the Planning Commission's recommendations for the 6-Year Capital Improvements Plan. At the conclusion of Ms. Arnold's presentation/ Mayor Cooke opened the meeting to speakers from the audience. Cards of speakers are on file in the City Clerk's Office. Motion The Council/ on Councilmember Humphrey's motion/ Councilmember Nofziger's second closed the public hearing. (4-0 Vote / Councilmembers Carl-Mitchell and Urdy absent/ Councilmember Barnstone out of the room at roll call). Adjournment The Council adjourned at 6:32 p.m.
