ハ LY OF AUSTLS Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas : October 11, 1988 - 2:30 Ρ.Μ. Mayor Cooke called to order the special called meeting of the Council at 4:46 P.M., noting the absence of Councilmember Carl-Mitchell. ITEMS POSTPONED - Postponed to October 13, 1988 at 1:30 P.M. are two items related to the Austin Civic Center Project contracts with Gilbane Building Company and Coopers & Lybrand. Postponed to October 13, 1988 was contract for 14th Year CDBG; and lease contract for Two Commodore Plaza. UNDERWRITING SYNDICATE The Council had before them a resolution to consider designating an underwriting syndicate for a utility system revenue bond refinancing. Motion The Council, on Councilmember Barnstone's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, approved bond counsel submission of hourly rate and weekly invoices. (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell absent.) Motion The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's motion, Councilmember Nofziger's second, designated the following for an underwriting syndicate for a utility system revenue bond refinancing: (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell absent.) Morgan Stanley, Hold Books Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney - Senior Managers Donald lufkis & Jenrette, Dean Witter, Bear Stearns Rotan Mosle, Rausher & Pierce, Underwood, Neuhaus Dillon Reed, Apex/Howard Wheel - Co-Managers Council Memo GOOD ROAD AMENDMENT 2 Council was shown a Good Road Amendment Video. Motion 10/11/88 The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's motion, Mayor Cooke's second, voted to support Amendment 1 of the State Constitutiion which will be on the November ballot, "Highway Trust Amendment".
