OF AUSTD Austin City Council MINUTES For January 10, 1989 REGULAR MEETING - - 3:00 Ρ.Μ. ELECTRIC UTILITY Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas : : Mayor Cooke called to order the regularly scheduled meeting of the Council, dealing with Electric Utility, noting the presence of all Councilmembers. ELECTRIC UTILITY COMMISSION REPORT Al Fairweather presented the Electric Utility Commission Report. CITY MANAGER REPORT The Monthly Management Report (Fiscal, Operations, Fuel) was presented by John Moore. CONSENT RESOLUTIONS The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, adopted the following resolutions in one consent motion: (6-0 Vote, Councilmember. Barnstone out of the room.) Contracts Approved the following contracts: a. Bid award: - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM- Four 750 KVA Transformers and.. Two 5000 KVA Transformers for Walnut Creek Wastewater Treat- ment Plant, Water and Waste- water Department - Total $138,170.00 C.I.P. No. 88/13-07 CRESAP The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's motion, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's second, adopted a resolution adopting the Electric Utility Commission recommendation concerning reinstating phases II and III of Cresap's Electric Billing Audit Proposal. (4-3 Vote, Councilmembers Barnstone and 'Urdy and Mayor Cooke voted No.) ELECTRIC RATES Councilmember Humphrey introduced an item to Council to discuss amending electric rates and possible action to schedule a public hearing on electric rates. Council set worksessions for January 31, and February 14, 1989, on electric rates. ADJOURNMENT Council adjourned its meeting at 3:51 Ρ.Μ.
