E Austin City Council MINUTES For - SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - February 21, 1989 FIRST FLOOR ASSEMBLY ROOM TOWN LAKE CENTER - Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street. Austin, Texas 4:00 Ρ.Μ. 721 BARTON SPRINGS ROAD Mayor Cooke called to order the meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmembers Urdy and Nofziger. He announced the purpose of the meeting was City Council Retreat to outline Council Goals and Objectives. Councilmember Carl-Mitchell presented a brief outline of the goals and objectives generally discussed. Mayor Cooke said on May 16, 1989, there should be an update presented on Metropolitan Government Consolidation. He also said May 30, 1989 is the drop dead date for any instructions to the City Manager concerning the 1989-90 financial plan. The Councilmembers present discussed the following and set their goals and objectives. By a unanimous vote they adopted the following: Economic Development I. Airport Evaluation A.
