こ Y AUSTIA Austin City Council MINUTES For REGULAR MEETING OF ELECTRIC UTILITY BOARD Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas - March 28, 1989 2:00 Ρ.Μ. Mayor Cooke called to order the meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmembers Urdy and Barnstone. ELECTRIC UTILITY COMMISSION REPORT Mr.. Al Fairweather reported for the Electric Utility Commission, outlining their recommendations. Motion The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's motion, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's second, approved recommendations 1 and 3, and directed the City Manager to give her recommendations on the rest. (5-0 Vote, Councilmembers Barnstone and Urdy absent) SUBJECT: Electric Utility Commission Recommendation Concerning the Five-Year . Financial Forecast On March 20, 1989, the Electric Utility Commission made the following recommendation concerning the Five-Year Financial Forecast: Commissioner Oakey moved that the Electric Utility Commission recommends that the City Council publish one consolidated document that includes financial data from the CIP and the financial forecast in a six year time frame. Also, the Commission recommends that the City Council consider establishing a two year electric rate setting process to complement the six year time frame forecast. SUBJECT: Electric Utility Commission Recommendation Concerning Amending the Electric Utility Commission Ordinance On March 6, 1989, the Electric Utility Commission made the following recommendation concerning amending the Electric Utility Commission Ordinance: Commissioner Cardenas moved that the Electric Utility Commission recommend that the City Council amend the Electric Utility Commission Ordinance by specifying that one Commission member be a City of Austin Electric Utility customer residing outside the corporate limits of the City of Austin. Also, if this recommendation is adopted by the City Council, the Commission' requests that a City Attorney address the residency requirements for this Commissioner, including what action would be taken by the City Council should this Commission member change residency from outside the corporate City of Austin limits to within the corporate limits of the City of Austin. Council Memo RECESS 3 3/28/89 Council recessed its meeting at 3:00P.M. to hold its special called meeting. They resumed the regular meeting of the Electric Utility Board at 4:02 Ρ.Μ. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooke announced Council would enter into executive session pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation and for personnel matters. No final action, decision or vote by the City Council will be taken on any subject or matter unless specifically listed on the agenda for this meeting. 1.
