YKOVAUSTIN FOUNDED 1920 Austin City Council MINUTES For CITY COUNCIL MEETING AS ELECTRIC UTILITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS April 11, 1989 1:00 Ρ.Μ. Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas : Mayor Cooke called to order the meeting of the Council, meeting as the Electric Utility Board of Directors, noting the absence of Councilmembers Urdy and Nofziger. There was no report by the Electric Utility Commission. John Moore presented the Monthly Management Report (Fiscal, Operations, Fuel) and the Monthly Utility Receivable Report. The Legislative Update was presented by Gwen Webb and Sandy Sanford. ORDINANCES The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, waived the requirement for three readings and finally passed the following ordinances all in one consent motion. (5-0 Vote, Councilmembers Urdy and Nofziger absent) Out of City Commission Member Approved Approved an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 770421-C by providing for a member of the Electric Utility Commission to be a City of Austin electric customer residing outside the City limits of Austin. Meeting Changed Approved amending Ordinance No. 880421-D by providing that the regular meeting of the City Council as the Electric Utility Board be the third Tuesday of each month for the purpose of considering matters related to the City of Austin Electric Utility Department. CONTRACT POSTPONED Postponed to April 13 is consideration of a contract with FL Meyers. ELECTRIC RATE SETTING The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's motion, Mayor Cooke's second adopted a resolution adopting the City Manager's recommendation, which is the Electric Utility Commission's recommendation, excluding the consumer advocate. (5-0 Vote, Councilmembers Nofziger and Urdy absent.)
