E TY OF AUSTIA Z Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - - April 18, 1989 FOURTH FLOOR AUDITORIUM CENTRAL LIBRARY Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas 3:00 Ρ.Μ. Mayor Cooke called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the presence of Mayor Pro Tem Shipman, Councilmembers Humphrey, Nofziger, Carl-Mitchell and Barnstone. BRACKENRIDGE TRACT Dr. Stan Friedman presented a report from the Brackenridge Tract Negotiating Committee. AIRPORT ISSUES contracts. He said Dave Helfert, Airport Advisory Board, reported on airport He discussed parking contract and Dobbs contract. Dobbs has withdrawn their new proposal and their present contract lasts until 1992. Motion Made and Withdrawn Councilmember Barnstone made a motion to adopt a City policy on all airport concessions as proposed. He withdrew his motion when the Mayor observed Council was not posted for action and the City Manager said action was not necessary since she was implementing that policy. Mayor Cooke said the concession policy all over the City needs to be scrutinized during the budget discussion for the 1989-90 Financial Plan. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 4:42 P.M.
