Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - May 22, 1989 - 1:00 P.M Council Chambers. 307 V*st Second Street, Austin. Mayor Cooke called to order the special called meeting of the Council* noting the absence of Councilmember Urdy. Mayor Cooke announced the purpose of the meeting was to hold an executive session, pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation and for personnel matters. No final action, decision or vote by the City Council will be taken on any subject or matter unless- specifically listed on the agenda for the meeting. 1. Pending Litigation - Section 2, Paragraph e (a) City of Austin v. Houston Lighting and Power 2. Land Acquisition - Section 2, Paragraph f (a) Status of Convention Center Property Acquisition Council recessed it's meeting at 1:12 p.m. for executive session, which lasted until 4:40 P.M. Mayor Cooke announced no action would be taken as a result of the executive session and asked that both items discussed be continued to .the regular Council meeting to be held on May 25, 1989. • The meeting was adjourned at 4:41 P.M.
