OF AUS FOUNDED 1839 Austin City Council MINUTES For - June 29, 1989 10:00 Α.Μ. FIRST FLOOR ASSEMBLY ROOM Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas - - SPECIAL CALLED MEETING TOWN LAKE CENTER Mayor Cooke called to order the meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Urdy. Mayor Cooke announced the purpose of the meeting was a discussion of 1989-90 budget decisions and a CDBG presentation. BUDGET DECISIONS Council discussed and was given presentations concerning Water and Wastewater, Solid Waste and Brackenridge Hospital. The following motions were made: Motion The Council, on Councilmember Nofziger's motion, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's second, approved a 0-4.5% increase in water and wastewater, Option A & B. (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Urdy absent) Motion The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's second, voted to look at 0-15.9% increase concerning solid waste. (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Urdy absent) Motion The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, approved staff recommendations concerning Brackenridge. (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Urdy absent) CDBG CDBG. Assistant City Manager Joe Lessard presented a report on ADJOURNMENT The special called meeting of the Council adjourned at 12 Noon.
