USTIN FOUNDID 1839 10 Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING FIRST FLOOR ASSEMBLY ROOM - JULY 20, 1989 - 9:30 Α.Μ. - TOWN LAKE CENTER Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Mayor Cooke called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Humphrey who was gone for the day. CONVENTION CENTER REPORT Craig Skien, Coopers and Lybrand, reviewed the feasibility of a convention center in Austin. Bill Newman, First Southwest, discussed the financial aspects of a convention center for Austin. AIRPORT CONCESSION POLICY Tim Ward, Director of Aviation, discussed the concession policy for the airport. ITEM POSTPONED Postponed to August 10, 1989 was discussion of the Dobbs House, Inc. amendment. ADJOURNMENT Council adjourned its meeting at 11:30 Α.Μ.
