تا TYOF AUSTIN FOUNDED 1439 Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - FIRST FLOOR ASSEMBLY ROOM Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas August 01, 1989 TOWN LAKE CENTER Mayor Cooke called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Humphrey. Mayor Cooke announced the purpose of the meeting was to listen to the City Manager's budget presentation to Council. City Manager Barnett introduced her discussion by stating there were three objectives in the budget: 1. Live within our means 2. Protect services 3. Invest in the work force. She explained the proposed 1989-90 Financial Plan and illustrated with charts and graphs. In additon to the Operating Budget, the Capital Budget and Policy Budget were also introduced and explained. The Council adjourned its meeting at 12:17 Ρ.Μ.
