OF AUST FOUNDED 1829 Austin City Council MINUTES For - SPECIAL MEETING August 10, 1989 FIRST FLOOR ASSEMBLY ROOM Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas - - 10:00 Α.Μ. TOWN LAKE CENTER Mayor Cooke called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Humphrey. The Mayor announced the purpose of the meeting was to hold a worksession on several items. AMENDMENTS TO DOBBS HOUSE, INC. CONTRACT Tim Ward, Director of Aviation, gave the history of the Dobbs House involvement with Mueller Airport. Dave Helfert, chairman, Airport Advisory Board, also discussed the Dobbs House contract. Council agreed to bring this subject back for discussion on August 24, 1989. CAPITAL RECOVERY FEES Ron Bond reported on the Capital Recovery Fees. ETHICS ORDINANCE City Attorney Barney Knight discussed the Ethics Ordinance. Among the issues he discussed was the consideration of a moratorium on ethics complaints just prior to an election. Mr. Knight said that an ordinance concerning proposed changes to the Ethics Ordinance will be on a future agenda. CONVENTION CENTER IMPLEMENTATION PLAN Mayor Cooke, Kim Peterson, and Diana Granger discussed the Convention Center Implementation Plan. Mayor Cooke said Council would take action on the plan at the August 24, 1989 Council Meeting. ADJOURNMENT The Special Called Meeting of the Council was adjourned at 12:00 Noon.
