FULHDID 1039 Austin City Council MINUTES For September 19, 1989 - 1:00 Ρ.Μ. MEETING AS THE ELECTRIC UTILITY BOARD Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Mayor Cooke called to order the meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Urdy. The report of the Electric Utility Commission was heard. CONSENT ORDINANCES The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's motion, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's second, waived the requirment for three readings and finally passed the following ordinances in one motion: (6-0 Vote, Councilmember Urdy absent) Alternative Energy Projects Accepted funds from the State of Texas in the amount of $48,850.00 and amend the Capital Improvement Program by appropriating this money to the Electric Utility Department for three alternative energy projects. "Plus + 1" Program Accepted an oil overcharge refund from the U.S. Department of Energy in the amount of $24,004.00 and amend the 1988-89 Annual Operating Budget by appropriating this money to the "Plus + 1" Program to assist needy electric utility customers. CONSENT RESOLUTIONS The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's motion, Councilmember Humphrey's second, adopted the following resolutions all in one consent motion: (5-0 Vote, Councilmember Carl-Mitchell out of the room, Councilmember Urdy absent.) Total estimated cost is $501,494 with the City of Austin share at $250,747. Pipeline Easement Granted Clajon Gas Company a pipeline easement across the Fayette Power Project for the purpose of collecting the gas production from the recently drilled Norman #31 gas well at the Project. (City will receive $1,229.10) ITEM POSTPONED Postponed for one month is consideration of a resolution to select a site for the energy control center. REPORTS Council received reports from the Resource Management Commission, and City Manager Reports dealing with Monthly Management Report (Fiscal, Operations, Fuel), Monthly Utility Receivable Report, Status Report on ElectriCREDIT Control Pilot Program, and Status Report on Public Involvement Process for Transmission Line Siting.
