FOUNDED 1080 Austin City Council MINUTES For - AUDIT & FINANCE COMMITTEE SPECIAL CALLED MEETING January 10, 1990 4:00 Ρ.Μ. - Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas - 3rd FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM Mayor Pro Tem Shipman called to order the special called meeting of the Council, meeting as the Audit & Finance Committee. Members of the Council who were present were Mayor Cooke, Councilmembers CarlMitchell and Urdy. Dale Cassidy, Coopers-Lybrand, presented the External Auditor: Progress Report. Steve Klepper presented the Status of Projects of the Internal Auditing Department. Discussed were the consulting contracts for the past three years and the proposed audit of the City Clerk's office. Mayor Cooke said he wants the Convention Center project closely audited during the whole construction process. Elaine Hart, Director of Financial Services Department, presented the Semi-Annual Review of Capital Improvements Projects. The Internal Auditing Department report on Human Resources Department "Sunset" Audit was presented by Steve Klepper. He reviewed by use of slides. Council was pressed for time because of a meeting scheduled for 5:00 P.M. but said they would like to continue the discussion of the Human Resources Department. The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 P.M. 1
