1 AUSTI Austin City Council MINUTES For February 13, 1990 3:00 Ρ.Μ. - MEETING AS THE ELECTRIC UTILITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Mayor Cooke called to order the meeting of the Council, meeting as the Electric Utility Board of Directors, at 3:45 P.M., noting the absence of Councilmembers Urdy, Barnstone and Carl-Mitchell. Later, Councilmember Barnstone arrived at 3:50 P.M. and Councilmember CarlMitchell arrived at 3:56 Ρ.Μ. CONSENT RESOLUTIONS The Council, on Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's motion, Councilmember Nofziger's second, adopted the following resolutions all in one consent motion: (4-0 Vote, Councilmembers Urdy, Barnstone and Carl-Mitchell absent.) Contract Awards Approved contract award for transmission line conductor to Priester-Mell & Nicholson, 601 East 56th Street, Austin, Texas in the total estimated amount of $139,807.62. Approved a 12 month supply agreement contract with Scientific Atlanta, c/o Len T. Deloney Company, Inc., in the estimated amount not to exceed $390,000 for radio controlled energy management equipment for the ElectriCREDIT direct load control program with the option to extend two additional 12 month periods in the estimated grand total not to exceed $1,065,000. Approved a 12 month service contract with Aubin Electric Company in the estimated amount not to exceed $129,495 for installation and maintenance of ElectriCREDIT radio controlled load manage- ment equipment. NO ACTION ON ITEM There was no discussion concerning governance options for the City of Austin Electric Utility. There was no executive session REPORTS Robert Floyd, Chairman, Electric Utility Commission, presented their report. Glen Crow, Vice-chairman, Resource Management Commission, reported to Council. The Monthly Management Report (Fiscal, Operations C ADJOURNMENT Council Memo 2 2/13/90 Fuel) was given by John Moore, Director of Electric Utility. Gerald Murphy of the Utility Customer Service Department, presented the Monthly Utility Receivable Report. Service to the New Airport was presented by John Moore. The meeting was adjourned at 4:23 Ρ.Μ.
