Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - CONVENTION CENTER SUB-COMMITTEE February 27, 1990 - 1:30 P.M. Council Chamberi, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas The Convention Center Sub-Committee Meeting was called to order at 1:45 P.M. with Mayor Cooke and Councilmember Carl-Mitchell present. Councilmember Humphrey and Councilmember Nofziger arrived at 2:00 P.M. and left at 2:20 P.M. Councilmember Barnstone was in attendance from 2:05 to 2:20 P.M. There was a quorum of the Council from 2:00 to 2:20 P.M There was a discussion of a holding pond to be built during Phase I of construction of the Convention Center* to be located at the far east corner of East 3rd and Waller Creek. A chart was displayed showing energy and water efficiency planned for the Austin Convention Center. Councilmember Nofziger asked if the exhibit areas will be arranged so that energy will be used only in the areas in use. Councilmember Humphrey asked that energy exchange be researched. The official meeting ended when the quorum was lost at 2:20 P.M. SK*V
