AUSIT - March 20, 1990 - 4:00 Ρ.Μ.. POUNDID 7034 Austin City Council MINUTES For SPECIAL CALLED MEETING Council Chambers, 307 West Second Street, Austin, Texas Mayor Cooke called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Councilmember Urdy, who arrived at 4:15. AD VALOREM TAX ORDINANCE FAILED Councilmember Carl-Mitchell made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Nofziger to authorize continued Ad Valorem taxation of personal property temporarily in the State of Texas for manufacturing or other commercial purposes for FY 1992 and beyond. MOTION FAILED by a vote of 2-3-1 with Mayor Cooke, Mayor Pro Tem Shipman, and Councilmember Barnstone voting No, Councilmember Humphrey abstained, and Councilmember Urdy was absent. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Cooke announced Council would go into executive session, pursuant to Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, to discuss personnel matters. No final action, decision or vote by the City Council will be taken on any subject or matter unless specifically listed on the agenda for the meeting. RECESS Personnel Matters - Section 2, Paragraph e a. Performance evaluation and review of City Manager Council recessed its meeting for executive session from 4:15 to 6:05 P.Μ. REVIEW OF CITY MANAGER As a result of the review of City Manager Camille Cates Barnett, the following motion was made: (Mayor Pro Tem Shipman took the chair) Motion The Council, on Mayor Cooke's motion, Mayor Pro Tem Shipman's second, approved an adjustment compensation for the City Manager of 34%. (6-1 Vote, Councilmember Barnstone voted No.) ADJOURNMENT - The meeting was adjourned at 6:10 Ρ.Μ.
