Austin City Council MINUTES For August 29, 1990 - SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - PUBLIC HEARING 1990-91 BUDGET MONTOPOLIS RECREATION CENTER • 1200 MONTOPOLIS DRIVE - 6;30 P.M. Mayor Cooke called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the presence of all Councilmembers. The Mayor announced the purpose of the meeting vas to hold a public hearing on the 1990-91 Operating Budget. Speaker's cards are on file in the City Clerk's office. Subjects discussed vere: Creative Rapid Learning Center, the need for Softball fields and nev recreation facilities in Hontopolis, community education, help for the homeless, housing for the homeless, Carver Museum, teenage parenting, family violence counseling, Project Courage, youth soccer, health needs. the Council Meeting vas adjourned at 9:40 P.M.
