AUST j FOUNDED SEA Austin City Council MINUTES For : AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL LEGISLATIVE SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING March 15, 1991 - 11:00 Α.Μ. Mayor Cooke called to order the meeting of the Austin City Council Legislative Subcommittee meeting, noting the presence of Councilmembers Carl-Mitchell, Barnstone and Epstein. Agenda and action by the Subcommittee follows: 1. Discussion of legislative initiatives for the 72nd Regular Session of the Texas Legislature. a. Status report on legislation for which the City of Austin will seek introduction and passage. A report was received. It is on file in the City Clerk's office. b. Report on bills filed with major impact on the City of Austin including new items. Members of the Subcommittee discussed at length HB 373 by Delco, which would create the Travis County Airport Authority, and HB 374 by Delco, for State acquisition of Bergstrom Air Force Base. At the end of the discussion, it was concluded the four Subcommittee members vould testify in opposition to Representative Delco's Bill 373. c. S.B. 1-Ethics bill No discussion or action taken on this subject. Adjournment : The meeting was adjourned at 12:10 Ρ.Μ.
