Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - May 06, 1991 - CANVASSING HAY A, 1991 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION * f Mayor Cooke called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Mayor Pro Tern Urdy and Councilmember Epstein. Mayor Cooke announced the purpose of the meeting was to consider a resolution canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the Kay 4, 1991 General Municipal Election and to consider an ordinance calling a run-off election for Saturday, Kay 18, 1991. Motion The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Mayor Cooke's second, adopted a resolution canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the May 4, 1991 General Municipal Election. (SEE RESOLUTION ATTACHED)(5-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tern Urdy and Councilmember Epstein absent.) Motion The Council, on Councilmember Carl-Mitchell's motion, Mayor Cooke's second, waived the requirement for three readings and finally passed an ordinance calling a run-off election for Saturday, May 18, 1991.
