_ Austin City Council MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING - June 15, 1991 NEW CITY COUNCIL INAUGURATION The meeting of the Council for the New City Council Inauguration began vith a presentation of colors by a joint Scout guard, followed by an invocation by The Reverend Monsignor Lonnie C. Reyes, Pastor, Saint Julia's Catholic Church. Welcome and opening remarks vere given by Sarah Veddington, Master of Ceremonies. i State of Texas Attorney General Dan Morales conducted the swearing in of Mayor-Elect Bruce Todd and Councilmembers-Elect Ronney Reynolds, Gus Garcia and Dr. Charles E. Urdy. Mayor Todd called for election of the Mayor Pro Tern. Motion The Council, on Councllmember Epstein's motion, Councilmember Nofziger's second, elected Dr. Charles E. Urdy as Mayor Pro Tern. (7-0 Vote) New members of the Council gave'Short speeches. Benediction at the end of the meeting vas given by The Reverend T. James Bethell, Rector, St. David's Episcopal Church.
