POUNDED 1.9 Austin City Council MINUTES June 19, 1991 - SPECIAL CALLED MEETING TOWN LAKE CENTER 8:30 Α.Μ. - Mayor Todd called to order the special called meeting of the Council, noting the absence of Mayor Pro Tem Urdy. The Mayor announced the purpose of the meeting was to hold a worksession on Budget Policy 1991-92. City Manager Barnette began the discussion by referring Council to the Policy Budget for 1991-92 and highlighted her transmittal letter. A copy of the Policy Budget is on file in the City Clerk's Office. : The following departments were reviewed in the morning: Public Information Office, General Services Department, Health, Brackenridge Hospital, Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Service. Council recessed from 11:32 to 1:35 P.M. for lunch. Departments reviewed in the afternoon were: Electric, Water and Vastewater, Parks/Library, Public Works and Environment. Strategic Goals were discussed concerning status of goals adopted by the City Council on October 11, 1990 and discussion on goals for current Council. It was decided the current goals would be voted upon at the regular Council meeting of June 20, 1991. Also postponed to June 20, 1991 were the following action items: Approve City Council Committee Assignments Approval of budget process and schedule Approve Resolution adopting 1991-92 Goals. The Executive Session which would provide directions to the City Manager was postponed to June 20, 1991. The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 P.M. on Councilmember Epstein's motion, Councilmember Reynolds' second, 6-0 Vote, Mayor Pro Tem Urdy absent. MINUTES 1 6/19/91
